A global pharmaceutical company ran its enterprise reporting on roughly 70 Qlik dashboards spanning commercial, marketing, inventory, procurement, logistics, manufacturing, and quality. Underneath them sat more than 1,100 Qlik (QVS) source scripts pulling from QVD files and SQL systems including SAP, Salesforce, and IQVIA. The transformation logic was scattered across those scripts and QVDs with no governed single source of truth, which made reporting slow to change, hard to trust, and dependent on an aging Qlik stack. The client set out to modernize the platform underneath, not just the dashboards on top of it.

Most recently, he led RBC Borealis efforts to develop and scale their enterprise AI and GenAI platforms for the bank, including building one of Canada’s largest private GPU cluster.
With over 10 years of experience in software engineering and technical product leadership at Fortune 500 companies, Pentcho specializes in architecting complex systems and building enterprise AI/ML platforms. He is passionate about empowering leaders to make data-driven decisions and about demystifying technology for non-technical audiences.

Biography
Tyler is a Data Engineer Consultant at Compass Analytics. Tyler brings experience from the pharmaceutical industry to Compass where he led data migration from on-premise to the AWS cloud. His work resulted in significant cost reductions in maintenance and manual work. He was also responsible for creating new outlier detection logic, maintaining manufacturing process parameters and developing dashboards.
Tyler has experience working in Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Python, R, SQL, Alteryx, Dataiku, PowerBI, QlikSense, and Git. Tyler is based in Toronto, Ontario. He is a 2023 Master of Management Analytics graduate from McGill University. Outside of work, golf is an instrumental part of Tyler's life. He used to play with Team Ontario from 2014 to 2017, and is currently an instructor now for up and coming students.

He also gained experience at Samsung Ads, implementing streaming technologies like Apache Kafka and Flink, and at Nosotech and DWB Consultants, where he enhanced applications, improved databases, and automated engineering workflows.
Now at Compass, Guillaume leverages his mix of software and data expertise to deliver fast, impactful solutions that help advance data and AI maturity. Outside of work, you can find him on the golf course, his idea of the perfect office party.
